Hi! I am Krista K. HundleySisk and I am the school counselor for Northumberland Middle School. Our office provides many services to our student body and faculty that range from counseling (individual and group) to career readiness to community outreach projects and services.
As a community, we strive to teach our children values and morals in a society riddled with disrespect, irresponsibility, hate, and violence. Throughout the school year, educators discuss the meaning of having “character” and try to reinforce various character traits by giving focus to a different word each month. The holiday season presents an opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of giving so that others may find joy and comfort in an otherwise difficult time. Our students reach out to individuals in need by creating blankets, collecting canned goods or assembling care packages for those less fortunate. This gives our students a moment to realize the joys of giving and empathy for others.
